Mercury

Son of Jupiter and of the nymph Maia, Mercury is the fast divinity that protects commerce, eloquence and profit, as also evidenced by its Latin name (merx or mercator, which means merchant).

Messenger of the gods and always depicted with small wings on his feet, Mercury has in Rome an ancient temple dedicated to him, built about eight centuries ago on the Aventine hill, overlooking the Circus Maximus.

In Anno Urbis – The Fight for Rome, choosing to build the Temple of Mercury will allow you to have special objects and skills, focused on mobility and speed: so a player is allowed to have extra movements, to be able to recall armies from an adjacent territory and to block the attack of an opposing unit.
